MGA Foundation Scholarships

The Minnesota Grocers Association Foundation was established in 1992 to offer educational opportunities to the retail food industry, provide scholarships to employees of member companies or their children, support community efforts and initiatives through grants, and present important industry information to the general public. It has supported many notable programs and has awarded over $1,000,000 in scholarships.

MGA Foundation Scholarship Program

 

Runs from January 15 – March 15, 2024

The Minnesota Grocers Association Foundation Scholarship Program supports students who are connected to the Minnesota food industry. This fantastic program is open to all MGA member employees and/or their dependents who are high school seniors, college freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. The simple and streamlined online application is available the first quarter every year.

Piggyback Scholarship Program 

Runs from January 15 – March 15, 2024

Piggybacking is a mechanism by which YOUR company can have a scholarship program for only YOUR employees and/or their dependents through your company’s membership in the Minnesota Grocers Association. All you pay for is the scholarship itself. The MGA covers all administrative costs and creates customized materials for you. Another great value to you and your employees!

MGA Foundation Golf Event & Scholarship Fundraiser

This event is the sole fundraiser for the MGA Foundation scholarship program, which will give away 25 – $2,000 scholarships in 2024 to your employees and their dependents. The funds you invest in this event go right back to you in the form of these scholarships, so it’s a win-win for your company!
